Develop your photographic skills and learn from experienced Photographers
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - we are currently planning to hold our workshops using Zoom, with some slight amendments to format due to the prevailing conditions.

Developing your photographic skills
LFPS run a series of workshops throughout the season - normally on a Monday evening. The aim of these workshops is to develop your skills so that you have in-depth knowledge of both the technical and the creative aspects of photography. There is no set plan, as the workshops are always based on the requirements of the people who attend the workshops. There are 2 streams, the Techniques Workshop and the Better Images Workshop. LFPS members are encouraged to come along to either or both.

Techniques Workshops
The techniques workshop group is for those who need to know more about how to capture and edit images. You will be able to discover how to get the best out of your camera and how to deal with challenging situations. A significant amount of time will also be spent pf how to edit the captured images. The software used will be Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, although you should be able to apply the concepts in other software. Throughout you will be encouraged to have a go for yourself with feedback given by the experienced club members. If you are new to camera clubs, you will also learn how to select and set-up images for competition.

Better Images Workshops
The aim of these workshops is to allow LFPS members to bring along and share their images and prints for discussion. The goal is to hear a range of views, guided by experienced club members, on the strengths and areas for improvement for each image. This will give a more rounded review rather than the quick throw-away competition judges' comments. All members of the club are welcome to attend no matter what level. It would be great to see images which are being entered in external competitions as well as LFPS competitions. This will be purely a supportive discussion group.
